The significance of the Traditional Paint Forum (TPF) as a voluntary group of interested members is that the debate generated reflects the diverse experience of those who join and contribute to the Forum. The membership includes:

• Paint suppliers;
• Painters and decorators;
• Conservators;
• Paint analysts;
• Architectural historians;
• Conservation officers;
• Architects and surveyors.

The voluntary and elected, main Committee who organise events and who administer the TPF also generally reflect the Forum’s membership base.
This is considered vital as the too often ignored painter/decorator has as much of value (if frequently not more!) to contribute to the debate as the architect or the architectural historian.
